• Subject of study was an extensive, of many single components consisting, in-house development in the market-risk -management controlling of a German universal bank.
• The entire architecture has been tested according to its technical and functional quality characteristics (modularization, flexibility etc.).
• The aim of the testing was to make an assessment if and under which circumstances it would be reasonable to continue the in-house development of new and old components or if some functions should rather be realized by third-party software.
